Check Your Site For Basic SEO Structure Problems With Siteliner

Siteliner is a very interesting tool that can analyze your site’s structure in order to find various problems that may exist. Although it is not a professional tool, it does offer very useful information. The only problem is that it only delivers data for up to 250 pages of a site in the free version. With the paid version, you have to pay 1 cent for every page scanned. Keep in mind that this may not seem like much but this little site that was recently launched and has only some articles already has 215 pages. A site that is quite old will have many so you may end up having to pay a lot. However, for those that are just starting out with a site, it can help by telling you about:

  • How many nofollow tags appear for your inner links
  • Duplicate content amount – it is normal to have some but if it is over a specific percentage, it is a problem
  • Average page size
  • Average page load time
  • Average word count per page
  • Text to HTML ratio
  • Common content
  • Internal links per page
  • External links per page
  • Inbound links per page

It is definitely not much but when it comes to setting up the structure of your site, anything can help. You can quickly get an idea of where you stand. While I cannot recommend that you go premium and that you pay that 1 cent per scan if you own a blog (blogging CMS naturally creates hundreds of extra pages you may not know nothing about) and you do not use NoFollow with SEO plugins, I have to say that for a regular business site, Siteliner is quite ok. Just check it out and see if you like it. I found it to be quite useful.
